Gingerbread Holiday Tea at Fairmont San Francisco

SF-2015-12-8-18

We met our friends for fancy holiday tea at the Fairmont in San Francisco. The lobby is beautiful! The real life-size gingerbread house is incredible and smells amazing. There is also a small Children’s play area complete with a tv showing animated Christmas movies and mailbox for letters to Santa (2016 edit: The gingerbread house, huge tree, and other decorations throughout the lobby are up and as amazing as last year, but the Children’s play area with the letters to Santa station is gone this year. For a nearby place to play, Huntington Park playground is one block away.). Visiting the lobby is free and I highly recommend it, if you are in the area during the holidays.

Sam behaved amazingly well for high tea. They have a mini-tier option for children and a children’s menu with macaroni and cheese (Sam’s choice). The snowflake princess greeted the children at the table and handed out nutcracker ornaments. Sam thought her dress was beautiful and he let her know. She also tapped them with a wand to “give them magic.” Sam loved this and talked about how the princess gave him magic the entire evening.
