Parents Place, Palo Alto

Sam started the day asking to attend the “playgroup with the fire truck” and see his friend.

This playgroup is known to most as the drop-in play at Parents Place located in the Jewish and Family Services building. They also have several classes available to help with infant care, work/life balance, preschool transitions, music classes, and others.

We have not tried the other classes yet, but we have become regulars at the playgroup. The schedule and pricing has changed since we started going a few months ago. Check the website here for the most up to date information. They are also closed on Jewish holidays.

Sam’s favorite activities: mix plastic food combinations in pots and baking them (eggs, pickles, and cake are most commonly served), solve the wooden peg puzzles, sort shapes into the shape toy, read books on the toddler-sized couch, molding at the play dough table, roll the aquarium train cars on the wooden train table, find my heartbeat with the toy doctor stethoscope, and play the toy drums.
